Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on July 11th, 1996. When she was just 10 years old, her parents gifted her a guitar which became the foundation of her passion for music. In 2013, she covered some of her most loved songs on YouTube the most popular media platform. The goal was to prove that she had both the ability and the confidence to be an artist. Sweater Weather was the most well-known cover. An album label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her to write songs.
